Garden Tomb

I don't believe in God/Jesus anymore because he can't/won't stop the fluoridation and other mean cruel hell wrongs being done to me. But this is just a mere history post on the Garden Tomb matching the tomb of Jesus better than the Holy Sepulchre.

Almost all of these claimed evidences below are from other peoples articles/posts, I don't claim credit for them myself, they deserve the credit (if the claimed are not wrong/false/fake/untrue). I have only added a couple of my own extra evidences. It is false to give Ron Wyatt all the credit because quite alot of others before and after him have also contributed to the case for this site. Be wary of some of the mainstream critical counter claims because some of their things like dating methods are unreliable and because Jews and Romans and others have known anti-Christian motives/interests.

Evidences in favour of Skull Hill and the Garden Tomb being the correct true crucifiction site and tomb of Jesus as opposed to the Holy Sepulchre:

- Jesus was crucified outside of the city (walls). This certainly matches the Skull Hill site, while the Holy Sepulchre site is disputed whether it was inside or outside. The Holy Sepulchre is described as being in "the middle of the city" nearby intersection of the main roads.

- Jesus was crucified on the north side of altar (Levi 1:11), and north of Mt Zion (Eusebius). Skull Hill is on the north side of the city near the Damascus gate.

- Jesus was crucifed at Golgotha/Kranion/Calvary "the place of the skull" or "heap of stones". (See the seed of the woman prophecy which says he will bruise the (seed of the) sepent's head.) The rocky escarpment adjacent to the Garden Tomb is called Skull Hill because it looks abit like a skull (rounded on 3 sides, and eye-like cavities/caves/caverns). It was also a site of stonings and executions, and of tombs. Limestone is also connected with bones. Some traditions claim it was also the re/burial site of the bones of Adam or Shem.
(The name Gordon is coincidentally similar to Golgotha?)

- Lots of people passed by the site when he was crucified (being near a city gate and road). This fits the site which is near the Damascus gate.

- One of the guards gave Jesus vinegar to drink. There is a winepress and cistern(s) in the area. There was also a cistern claimed to be found at the Holy Sepulchre site in Crusader times....

- There was a great earthquake. Wyatt claimed there was a quake crack found in Skull Hill. Also, the name AlAdhamiyah / ElAdhamiyeh / ElHeidhemiyeh / ElHeiremiyeh in the area has been suggested to mean "the rent". (There have also been quakes at the other Holy Sepulchre site too.)

- Jesus shed alot of blood at Calvary. Wyatt claimed that he found blood on the mercy seat of the ark underneath the Skull hill crucifiction site, which is said to have come through the quake cracks. The blood was claimed to have a different number of chromosomes from normal human blood. (Compare tradition that Jesus blood was caught in the holy grail.)

- The tomb was nearby the crucifiction site. The Garden Tomb is nearby Skull Hill.

- The tomb was in a garden which had a gardener. The Garden Tomb is in a garden, hence the name. There is evidence that the area was a garden in the Jesus' times (including winepress, cistern, etc).
(Note also the traditional association/analogy with the garden of Eden.)

- The tomb was hewn in rock. So is the Garden tomb. Cavities/caves/caverns in Skull Hill. "Solomon's quarries" not far away.

- The tomb was a new never-before-used tomb. This point is disputed by some that claim the tomb dates to older bc times, but some others say it dates to around about Jesus times. "2nd bed is unfinished".

- Tomb belonged to a rich man. The Garden Tomb's
quality, large size and location are said to evidence for it being a wealthy person's tomb.

- Tomb belonged to Joseph of Arimathea. Arimathea is only mentioned in the gospels, though some connect it with Ramah or Ramla or Ramleh or Ramathaim(-zophim) / Armathaim Sipha or Rathamin, with the name meaning "hill, height(s), highland, high (place), strong, exaltion, watch-tower(s)". Some suggest Arimathea might be Hor-hammetim "of the hole of the dead, the grave-digger". These meanings may fit the Skull Hill site. Possibly the name Arimathea might be connected with the name Adham / AlAdhamiyah / ElAdhamiyeh / ElHeidhemiyeh / ElHeiremiyeh, or the name Jeremiah's grotto, both of which are associated with the Skull Hill area? Some sources suggest that the crucifiction site was Adam's grave/burial site. (D & r interchange in Hebrew.)

- Tomb enterance covered by a large stone which was rolled away. There is a channel/trough in front of the Garden Tomb which may have held such a rolling stone door. Though some claim it is from later crusader times and that it wouln't have held a stone very well.

- Tomb enterance stone was securded/sealed. Some claim that a large metal bar was found which was likely used in securing the stone, or "material containing iron" and evidence of being nailed?

- 2 beds or 2 pillows for 2 people (husband & wife) may match Jesus & us/bride died & buried & raised together? (3 graves ~ Father, Son, Spirit? Body Soul Spirit? Blood water spirit? Water, Spirit, Fire bapism? 3 days? 3 crosses/crucified?)
The tomb has 2 chambers, like a heart?

- They had to stoop to enter the tomb. This matches the Garden Tomb.

- Angels sitting at head and foot of the bed. The bed in the Garden Tomb has 2 pillows at the head & the foot. (Compare Robin Hood's grave.)

- They saw an angel on the right side. The Garden Tomb has "an open burial space on the right".

- Angel sitting cross-legged suggests a raised bench such as the tomb does have?

- The tomb was empty after the resurrection. The Garden Tomb is empty.

- Date. The date is disputed. Some claim the tomb dates to older bc times and can't match (Barkay). Others have claimed a date of aroud about Jesus times (Kenyon?)

- The Garden Tomb's association with the dates 1888 and 1988 may confirm the link. Jesus in Greek is 888. 8 stands for "new" in biblical numerology. 8th day man versus 6th day man in Genesis 1-2. (Though Wyatt's association with 1999 and 66 makes one wonder.) The Holy Sepulchre (has 6 tombs, and) has a link with the date 1666.

(- Skull Hill is near the Damascus which recalls Aram/Adam, Abraham's servant Eleazar of Damascus, Paul's road to Damascus and the "Damascus" of the Essenes.)

The Holy Sepulchre's association with Jesus Christ likely originates from the initials of Jupiter Capitolina being the same? (Venus at the site also may have been conflated with Eve or Mary or the Church/bride of Christ?)

Sisera

This post is about a very tentative theory that Sisera of Judges 4 (in the Bible https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sisera ) matches Seqenenre of the 17th dynasty of ancient Egypt ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seqenenre_Tao ). This theory is probably wrong for some reasons mentioned in a few places below but I can help wanting it to be true and being intrigued by some remarkable similarities. Now here below are our comparisons of details of Sisera and Seqenenre for peoples consideration.
 

Head wound same/similar, & both when laying/fell down:

Sisera:
"Then Jael, Heber's wife took a tent peg, and took a hammer/mallet
in her hand, and went softly to him, and struck the pin/nail
into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground;
for he was in a deep sleep; so he swooned and died. ....
He came to her; and behold, Sisera lay dead, and the tent
peg was in his temples."
".... She put her hand to the tent peg, and her right hand to
the workmen's hammer.  With the hammer she struck Sisera.
She struck through his head.  Yes, she pierced and struck
through his temples."
"At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay.  At her feet he bowed,
he fell.  Where he bowed, there he fell down dead."

Seqenenre:
"The terrible wounds on Seqenenre's skull were caused by ... people attacking him with a dagger, an axe, a spear (or javelin) and possibly a mace. The horizontal nature of the ... wounds indicate that he was lying on his right side, either asleep or having been felled by a blow."
"... evidence of terrible wounds about the head."
"A blow from an axe must have severed part of his left cheek, exposed the teeth, fractured the jaw, and sent him senseless to the ground; another blow must have seriously injured the skull, and a dagger or javelin has cut open the forehead on the right side, a little above the eye. His body must have remained lying where it fell for some time"
"...it is not known whether he fell upon the field of battle or was the victim of some plot"
"The wound on his forehead was probably caused by a Hyksos axe and his neck wound was probably caused by a dagger while he was prone. There are no wounds on his arms or hands, which suggests he was not able to defend himself."
"Until 2009 the main hypotheses have been that he died either in a battle against the Hyksos or was killed while sleeping."

Note the similarities of both descriptions: both temples/forehead/head/skull, both mention similar mace/axe or hammer/mallet, both similar peg/pin/nail or dagger/spear/javelin, both horizontal/ground/prone/lying/asleep/sleeping/fell or unable to defend himself, both a plot, and both implied to be terrible.

The source mentions a few different possibilities for the weapon(s) implying they are not sure as to the correct exact one/ones used, and the ones mentioned all tend to quite likely be uncertain due to confusing nature not knowing that a tent peg and mace had been used?

Though there are a few doubts that the head wounds of Seqenenre could be the same as Sisera's. The bible says the temple(s) of the head, but Seqenenre's wound is in the front of the forehead.
The bible says a tent peg, but Seqenenre's wound is maybe a different shape (linear like a sword blade, not roundish like a tent peg).
The bible implies only two wounds where the peg went in and where the peg went out and stuck into the ground. Seqenenre has 5 wounds and there is no wound where peg went out and into the ground?
Though that there are also maybe one or two other holes/wounds doesn't necesarily prove that the two heads wounds can't match, because there are perfectly possible explanations in our scenario, eg:
The tent peg might have had more than one spike?
The peg "pierced through to the earth".
He fell down and might have been damaged in fall.
It was a clumsy-like striking with a tent peg and a mace by a woman and the hammer could have slipped, or one of the verses imply she hit him with the hammer?
She might have stabbed more than once.
Sisera had just come from a battle and might have been wounded.
The Kenites or Hebrews might have mutilated Sisera out of hate/spite.
The bible text doesn't necessarily say there was definitely only one blow/stab/wound.

Names similar:

Sisera:
His name is Sisera or See-ser-aw' or Ciycara' or Siys'ra or Sisra or Sus-sera or Ses-ra.

Seqenenre:
His name is Seqen-en-re / Seqenera / Seknener / Sekenenra (Tao 2).
Or other similar names of the same period are Aasehre/Ahsehra, Sheshi, Ases/Assis, Seuserenre, Serkara.

Note the similarity of Sesera/Sesra and Sek(en)era/Sek(enen)ra.
K & s sometimes interchange in Egyptian, eg Khent/Shent, Keb/Seb.
The omission of the -(e)n- is not necessarily a problem since conventional scholars consider the supposed loss of the -n- in their "Sheshonk/Shishak" equation to be a "minor" proposition. Other possible instances of a loss of an -n- might be Aa-en-ru/Aaru, Khuns/Cush, Ankh-em-maat/Ha-massa? (Also compare Rom/Romt/Rot, Shemsu/Schesoo/Shasu.)

his name is suggested to mean either "ready for war, battle array" or "(hawk eye, an Hebrew euphemism meaning) servant of Ra (the Egyptian god depicted with a bird head on a human body. He wore a sun disk encircled by a serpent)" or "supporting something/someone + a hand" or "snake"? or "Sisera's name has been variously identified as Philistine, Hittite, Hurrian, or Egyptian".

Seqenenre:
his name is said to mean "(he) who strikes like Ra/Re/sungod" or "he whom Ra makes brave"

Both foreign/Canaanite/Hyksos dominators of Israelites:

Sisera:
"Sisera's name has been variously identified as Philistine, Hittite, Hurrian, or Egyptian",
"most historians are not sure or agreed on where Sisera was from",
"What I find interesting is the Hebrew spelling - Sisra. The Hebrew term sis has two samekh's in it. This letter carries connotations of supporting something/someone. The middle letter yod represents a hand. And he was apparently a foreign commander who turned his hand to help the Canaanite Jabin attack the Jews."

Seqenenre:
was a Theban Egyptian prince during the Semitic Hyksos domination of Egypt & Canaan/Palestine.

So Seqenenre as an Egyptian would be a foreigner to the Israelites &/or Canaanites like Sisiera is proposed to have been. The Hyksos were also "foreign rulers".
Note that one of the suggested origins of Sisera is Egyptian.

Sisera:
is implied to have been in/at/near Hazor and/or Harosheth Ha-goyim "Harosheth of the Gentiles".
"Sisera, captain of the army of Hazor ...."

Seqenenre:
He as at Thebes/Luxor/Karnak in Upper Egypt.
He was during the Hyksos domination of Egypt and Canaan. The Hyksos ruled at/from Hutwaret/Hatwaret/Hawara/Hauar/Avaris / Khatana or El-Arish?
"he had built a new palace made of mud brick at Deir el-Ballas. On an adjacent hillside overlooking the river, the foundations of a building were found that almost certainly was a military observation post."

Note the possible similarity of Hazor & Hatwaret, and/or of Harosheth/Harish & Arish, and/or Katzir & Khatana?

Harosheth of the Goyim/gentiles could link with the Hyksos/Heqa-khase "foreign rulers" were also called Amu "gentiles" and they might be the same as the biblical Edomite Amalekites who are also called "the first of the nations".

One doubt here though is that Judges implies Sisera's mother was waiting at Harosheth or Hazor for his return? Whereas Seqenenre's mother would have been in Thebes. Jabin also probably matches Ibni/Yabni of Hazor. And the places in Judges 3 seem to be in the same northern area of Israel (Hazor, Harosheth/Harish, Ephraim, Zebulun, Naphtali, Kedesh, Tabor, Kishon, Endor, Makir, Tanaach, Megiddo, Meroz).

Sisera:
"Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;"

Seqenenre:
Contemporary of the Hyksos/Heqa-khase who were at (the wadi/river of) El-Arish?
"he had built a new palace made of mud brick at Deir el-Ballas. On an adjacent hillside overlooking the river, the foundations of a building were found that almost certainly was a military observation post."

Both associated with a ruler who had a name like Jabin:

Sisera:
"... Jabin/Yavin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose army was Sisera .... Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army...." (Judges 4:2 - 5:30).

Seqenenre:
Seqenenre (17th dyn, "1574") is a near-contemporary of Jaib/Ibiau (13th dyn), Yantin (Byblos, 13th dyn), Yakbim (14th dyn), Beon/Bnon/Bebnum (Hyksos king, 15th/16th dyn), Apepi/Apophis (Hyksos king, 15th/16th dyn), Ibni/Yabni (king of Hazor), Iehaenu (king of Hazor).
"New Kingdom literary tradition states that Seqenenre Tao came into contact with his Hyksos contemporary in the north, Apepi or Apophis."
"Apepi 1 complains to his Theban counterpart Seqenenre Tao...."
"... Apepi in connection with an Egyptian under-king Seqenenra...."

Though that fact that Jabin probably matches Ibni/Yabni of Hazor probably rules out Sisera being Seqenenre, and rules out Jabin being Apepi or other Hyksos rulers?

Supposedly different dates is only orthodox theory:

Sisera:
Jabin and Sisera are ca 1300s in Judges (not "late 1200s" or "1125" as in conventional chronology). (Sisera is not long after the exodus which was 480 yrs before Solomon of 1000s/900s bc.)

Seqenenre:
Seqenenre is ca "1574/1558-1555" in conventional Egyptian chronology. Seqenenre was a near contemporary of Jaib/Iayib/Ibiau of the 13th dynasty ("1725-1714" or "1712-1701"), or Yakbim/Yakbam of the 14th dynasty ("1805-1780"), or Apepi ("1663-1555"), or Ibni(-Addi/Addu) / Ibni(-Addad) / Yabni(-Hadad) of Hazor (ca "1796-1780" bc or "1760s" or "18th-17th" cents bc or "18th" century bc).

However, Egyptian chronology has hardly any proofs of their ascribed theoretical dates of the dynasties and what few dating evidences/methods they have are unreliable, and their overall ancient Egyptian dynastic history is too long/old when compared with sources like the Bible and Herodotus etc and so the true dates of the dynasties will be lower. Two examples that the conventional chronology is at least a couple/few centuries too long/old are Shiphrah and Jabin. Shiphrah is ca bc in the bible. Spra of the 12th dynasty is "1833/1745/1733" in conventional. Jabin is ca 1300s in bible. Ibni/Yabni is "1796/1780/1760s" in conventional.
(Though there is also a "Qishon of Ybn" in a topographical list of Ramses 2 "1303-1273" bc. But these dates are at least 2 centuries too high/old.)

In Rohl's more correct chronology Seqenenre is 1201-1198, and Jaib is 1500-1490, or or Bnon is 1279-1255, or Apepi is 1209-1195.

Sisera:
Is between Moses and David & Shishak.

Seqenenre:
Is between the end of the 12th dynasty and Amarna period and Ramses II.

If we have the exodus at the end of the 12th dynasty, and David in the Amarna period, and Shishak matching Ramses II, then Sisera as possibly matching Seqenenre fits well with the precedding and suceeding Egyptian-Biblical matches.

Sisera:
 comes ca 186 + x yrs into the 480 yrs between Moses/exodus (end of 12th dyn) and Solomon/Shishak (Ramses II).
(Moses/wilderness wanderings 40 yrs;
Joshua ? yrs;
Caleb/elders/generation/Kenaz ? yrs;
Chushan 8 yrs;
Othniel 40 yrs;
Eglon 18 yrs;
Ehud 80 yrs;
Shamgar ? yrs;
Jabin/Sisera 20 yrs;
Deborah/Barak 40 yrs.)

Seqenenre:
 comes 208 yrs into the 503 yrs between the end of the 12th dynasty (exodus) and Ramses II (Shishak).

Both next below/under a overlord king/lord:

Sisera:
The bible doesn't call Sisera a king, only a captain, though it doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't a king.
"... Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose army was Sisera .... Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army...."
Jael calls Sisera "my lord".
(The name Sisera might mean "Servant of Ra", or "supporting something/someone + a hand".)

Seqenenre:
He is supposed to have been a king/pharaoh of the 17th dynasty, though some sources say/imply he was a sub-king (of the Hyksos overlord pharaoh/king) or (rebel) prince. Egyptian king-lists might not necessarily always be totally reliable/honest about who were "kings".
And/or maybe compare "My father was a captain of the deceased king Seqenenra...."

Both linked with chariots/horses:

Sisera:
Jabin and Sisera are linked with chariots of iron.
".... Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots".

Seqenenre:
A contemporary of the Hyksos who supposedly introduced the chariot/horse into Egypt.

Both possibly similar 20-40 yrs?

Sisera:
Jabin & Sisera ruled over Israel for 20 yrs.
40 yrs peace under Deborah & Barak.

Seqenenre:
Reigned "likely only a few years". "The relatively short length of the reign of Seqenenre...."
Seqenenre "died a violent death when about 40 years of age".
His contemporary Apepi/Apophis ruled for "40 yrs or more".

Sisera:
was bad in bible.

Seqenenre:
"a foul, oily smell filled the room the moment the case in which his body was exhibited was opened".

Both at a battle before they died:

Sisera:
his name is suggested to mean either "ready for war, battle array".
"persuaded Barak to face Sisera in battle ... at the Battle of Mount Tabor.... .... After losing the battle, Sisera fled...."

Seqenenre:
"...it is not known whether he fell upon the field of battle or was the victim of some plot"
"The wound on his forehead was probably caused by a Hyksos axe...."

The above details of Seqenenre could possibly be due to having possibly died in Palestine.

One doubt here though is that Judges implies Sisera's mother was waiting at Harosheth or Hazor for his return?

Joseph and Imhotep?

NOTE Edited on Wednesday 26th August 2020.

I've done another thorough study of Imhotep and Joseph and the similarities between Imhotep and Joseph are pretty convincing despite that there are some seeming differences. It looks like Imhotep must be an Egyptian rendering of the name Joseph. Imhotep's name is variously rendered Imhotep / Iemhetep / Iimhtp / Iu-em-hept / *Ja-im-hatap / Jjmhtp / Imouthes, and some of these renderings are similar to Joseph/Yahuwseph especially if the -em- is omitted like in similar Egyptian names/words such as Shemsu/Shasu, Romt/Rot, Aa-en-ru/Aaru. So Ron Wyatt and Dr Lennart Moller seem to be right about Joseph being Imhotep. (Not sure who came first Wyatt or Moller?) Meanwhile it also seems that Joseph as Zaphenath matches Sekhemhet as I said in my article on that, and if this is not wrong then we have matches for both names Joseph and Zaphenath in the same time. In addition we can add the discovery that Jacob certainly seems to match Khufu/Cheops of the 4th dynasty (the dynasty just after the one that Imhotep was in). To further prove the match we also need to find matches for the other persons etc in the story of Joseph (Potiphar, Potiphera, Asenath, etc).
Below are the similarities and differences between Imhotep and Joseph that I have collected together. Though most of the details about Imhotep are only from much later traditions/legends and not many are from contemporary records. The Sahel/Philae inscription account of the famine is a very late record (Ptolemaic dynasty).

Imhotep: His name is Imhotep/Iemhetep/Iimhtp/Iu-em-hept/*Ja-im-hatap/Jjmhtp/Imouthes.
Joseph: His Hebrew name is Joseph/Yahuwseph/Joses/Asaph and his Egyptian name is Tafneos/Zaphenath-paneah/Psothom-phanech.
The three names are different. Though Ja & hotep is similar to Joseph in English and the -em- could be omitted as in Shemsu/Schesoo/Shasu, Rom/Romt/Rot/Auritae, Aa-en-ru/Aaru. Unless Joseph was also given another name in Egyptian.
Joseph's name Zaphenath may match Sekhemhet.

Imhotep: His name means "he who comes in peace" or according to Wyatt "the voice (or mouth) of Im (or I Am)". But Wyatt's meaning is probably not right.
Joseph: His name Joseph means "he shall add/increase". The meaning of his name Zaphenath-paneah is unknown and there are alot of theories as to what it means.
The meanings of the names are different.
Though Joseph can be said to have come in peace.

Imhotep: His father is Kanofer (a celebrated architect, 1st in a long line of architects) or Ptah. He is also called the "successor of Thoth".
Joseph: His father is Jacob/Israel (who matches Khufu/Cheops).
The 2 father's names are different. Unless Jacob was given a different name in Egyptian. The meaning of the name Kanofer might match Jacob? Though Joseph could be said to be a son of Yah/El/God who is similar to Ptah.
Or son of god Ptah could match Joseph had no known father in Egypt?

Imhotep: His mother is Khereduankh ("probably from Mendes", deified alongside her son) or Hathor (daughter of Banebdjedet) or Sekhmet or Nut.
Joseph: His mother is Rachel (daughter of Laban, and she died before Jacob came to Egypt), and his step-mother is Leah.
The 2 mother's names are different. Though Kheredu-ankh might possibly be slightly similar to Rachel (considering hieroglypic names might be read different ways, and considering changes between Hebrew & Egyptian. Unless his mother had a different name in Egyptian.

Imhotep: His wife is Rashaa.
Joseph: His wife is Asenath daughter of Potiphera (Ke) (priest) of On.
The two wives names are different. Though both names have a & s & h, and possibly the n & r could interchange and the two consonants could be transposed? Or his wife could of had 2 names.

Imhotep: He was born in Ankhtowe/Memphis in Egypt.
Joseph: He was born in Padan-Aram (north Mesopotamia/Syria/Armenia).
The 2 birth places are different. Unless Joseph was "born" as Imhotep at Memphis. There is evidence that Joseph was at Memphis or Sakkarah.

Imhotep: His sister is Renpetnef(e)ret (though this is late tradition and might not be true).
Joseph: His half-sister is Dinah. (One source suggests Jacob also had another daughter?)
The sisters are different. Though the two sisters might be similar, and Dinah could have been given a different name in Egyptian?

Imhotep: One source says he lived to a 110 yrs old (though the source might not be reliable?)
Joseph: He lived to a 110 yrs old.
Both lived to the same age. (Though a 110 yrs old is a "perfect old  age" in Egyptian and might not pin-point any one time.)

Imhotep: "first after the king".
Joseph: Second only to pharaoh.

Imhotep: He was a master-builder / chief-architect / engineer/designer/sculptor/carpenter. He built the Step Pyramid. Stone buildings/architecture. Craftsmen, technicians. In the Step Pyramid complex Wyatt found grain storage bins.
Joseph: He built storehouses. He was son of Jacob who is associated with Jacob's Ladder. The Hebrews were the Pillar People? The "eternal mountains" of Joseph in Genesis 49?
Joseph is a type of Jesus who was son of a carpenter/architect named Joseph.

Lot's Wife

Lot's wife is unnamed in the Bible and Josephus and Koran.
Jewish traditions/scholars say her name was Ado or Edith (Jashar 19:52, Midrash, Wisdom 10:7).
However it looks like the bible seems to suggest that her name was Iscah. The reasons why include:
- Why is Lot's wife unnamed? Surely the bible might actually give her name somewhere?
- Iscah is the "daughter of Lot's father Haran, and "sister" of Lot, which might be daughter-/sister-in-law (or Lot might be son-in-law).* I am not necessarily suggesting that Lot married his real sister, though it is possible since Cain and Abel did, and since Nahor allegedly married his neice Milcah who was Iscah's "sister". They could have been only half sister & brother? In ancient Egypt the pharaohs married their sisters (or their wives were called "sisters").
- Why is Iscah included in the genealogy?* No mention is made of any husband or children of Iscah's.
- Some scholars theorised that Iscah was another name for Abram's/Abraham's wife Sarai/Sarah. Lot was like a brother of Abraham.
- Iscah/Jessica means "to look/see, seeing, prophetic foresight" according to one source, which seems like Lot's wife "looking back"? (Though the word used for Lot's wife's looking back was tabet, which is contrasted with the word saqap used for Abraham's "looking".) Jewish scholars suggested Iscah was a prophetess/seer.
- Iscah and Edith both have 5 letters or 2 syllables (in English at least)?
- Iscah is like Eve's name Isha, and Edith is like Eden? Lot's wife's looking might be vaguely similar to Eve's looking at the apple?

Sitchin said that the Hebrew words may imply that Lot's wife was vaporised rather than turned into a literal pillar of salt. So identifications of Lot's wife with rock/salt pillars/columns/formations in the area might be unsound. (Compare the pillars of cloud and fire in Exodus, and atomic/nuclear mushroom clouds? One of the worlds largest desposits of petroleum is underneath the Dead Sea region.) There is possibly a similarity and connection with Babylon's destruction by fire in Revelation? Though the Dead Sea area is very salty and also has sulphur deposits there too.

There are similar stories to Lot's wife looking back in Greek (Orpheus & Eurydice), and Japanese (Izanagi & Izanami).

The inclusion of Iscah must have had some significance that either J or his source chose not to elucidate. I can't believe in God/Jesus anymore because how can God do/allow such mean cruel hell to be done to us daily for years/decades/"life"? (Though even if there is no God we have proven that the evil wicked elite criminals will be overthrown some day in the next thousand years.) An how can his "christians" all be so uncaring/unloving and mean and selfish and duped? But for those who do believe we post this last post on bible.
